Eurasia Partnership Foundation to Host Change Agents Forum

During February 13-14, Eurasia Partnership Foundation will host Change Agents Forum. The Forum will bring together representatives of public, private, and non-governmental sectors, to discuss the ways in which these sectors could cooperation for speedy social transformation and positive change.

The Forum will open on February 13 with a plenary session. Among the discussants will be the Chairman of the Board of the Wissol Group, Samson (Soso) Pkhakadze, General Director of Georgian National Museum, Davit Lortkipanidze, and President of Eurasia Partnership Foundation, Ketevan Vashakidze. The plenary session will be moderated by Tamar Chikovani, journalist at Radio Maestro. The panelists will review the changes that have taken place in “how the business is conducted” in their relevant sectors and explore opportunities for further developments through cross-sectoral partnerships, which are based on shared responsibility and designed to effect mutually-beneficial socio-economic and cultural changes.

The Forum will continue on February 14 with parallel sessions on such issues as influence of regional civil society organizations on national level policy making, consumer rights protection and food safety, media independence and the rule of law, social enterprise development and youth mobilization. In addition, interested participants will have a chance to attend training seminars on organizational development strategy planning and using new media for effecting positive social change.

The Change Agents Forum is a new initiative of Eurasia Partnership Foundation, which it plans to conduct on regular basis, in order to foster tri-partite cooperation to address the most pressing issues facing Georgian society and to contribute to the country’s development.

The opening plenary session of the Forum will take place on February 13, 2014, during 16:30 – 19:00, while thematic sessions and training seminars will be organized on February 14 during 10:00 – 17:30. The Forum venue is Sheraton Metechi Palace.
