Europe Foundation Joined Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017
On November 13-19, 2017 more than 70 countries celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). Europe Foundation (EPF) has been taking part in the GEW since 2014 and this year joined the Week with the following events:
On November 16, EPF organized Social Enterprise Marketing Masterclass delivered by Strategic Marketing and Corporate Innovation Specialist, Ms. Miriam Kiwan. The event was attended by 14 representatives of 11 social enterprises. During theoretical sessions and practical exercises, participants gained knowledge about creating a strong value proposition, marketing mix and brand positioning.
On November 16, EPF also hosted a panel discussion regarding the challenges and opportunities of social entrepreneurship in Georgia, initiated by the Global Entrepreneurship Network. The meeting was attended by 14 representatives of 12 civil society organizations (CSOs) and social enterprises, who discussed pressing issues for social enterprises, including the existing legal environment, access to finance and credit, financial, social and other types of challenges, etc.
On November 17, with support from TBC bank, training How to Write a Business Plan was organized in TBC Training Center. The event, which aimed to build the capacity of CSOs shortlisted for the second stage of EPF’s Social Enterprise Development Program grant competition, was attended by 12 representatives of 9 CSOs, interested in SE startup or development.
