To increase the level of the Georgian public’s awareness of the EU-Georgia cooperation and to support more issue-based discussions on the European integration issues, EPF supported relevant media production.
Georgian Association of Regional Broadcasters (GARB)
To inform the public about Georgia’s convergence to European standards and practices in consumer rights protection field, Europe Foundation commissioned the production of 13 short reports and 4 talk shows to the Georgian Association of Regional Broadcasters (GARB). The media products will cover various issues related to consumer rights protection, including the ongoing and planned reforms that are to bring Georgia closer to European standards. The media products will be aired during the GARB’s weekly information-analytical program Polygon which is carried by 21 regional TV channels and 5 regional radio stations. They will also be uploaded on the website of the Association – www.garbonline.tv. Please see the already produced media products below:
Issues related to Georgia’s European Integration were being discussed on Rustavi 2’s daily talk show – Midday. From April to December, 2012, one segment of the show was dedicated to informing the population about important areas of reforms, such as food safety, visa facilitation between Georgia and EU and other. Georgian Public Broadcaster
1st TV Channel of the Georgian Public Broadcaster started airing of the talk-show European Choice on April 20, 2011. The talk-show s were broadcasted every Wednesday at 22:00 and were dedicated to informing the population about important areas of reforms, such as justice and education system reform and other.
