Youth Integration Program Welcomes Its New Members
Eighty new members from 19 municipalities have joined EPF’s Youth Integration Program. The interest and motivation to become the member of the program was high: more than 500 young people participated in the selection process. The Youth from Tsalka also joined the Youth Bank (YB) Georgia, forming the Tsalka YB Committee.
On October 20-24, Europe Foundation conducted Immersion Training for the newcomers. During four days, Youth Integration Program staff worked with the young people to introduce the program’s methodology, its working principles and values to them. As part of the training, Georgian contemporary writer, Lasha Bugadze also met with the trainees to speak about the congruity of European values with Georgian identity.
The new members will join the old ones from the Youth Bank Committees and together, they will start to fund the initiatives of their peers to address issues of local concern.
